Description

This refreshing Virgin Strawberry Pina Colada is a delightful non-alcoholic tropical smoothie combining fresh pineapple, strawberries, pineapple juice, and creamy coconut milk. Perfect for a sunny day or a festive gathering, this drink delivers a beautiful layered gradient and a sweet, tangy flavor without any alcohol.

Ingredients

Scale

Fruit Mixture

  • 1.5 cups fresh strawberries
  • 1/4 cup pineapple juice (from the total pineapple juice)

Coconut Pineapple Mixture

  • 1 cup fresh pineapple
  • 1/2 cup ice cubes
  • 1/2 cup pineapple juice (remaining amount)
  • 3/4 cup coconut milk

Garnish

  • Wedge of pineapple
  • 1 fresh strawberry

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Strawberry Blend: Blend the fresh strawberries with 1/4 cup of the pineapple juice until smooth. Once blended, pour this strawberry mixture into a jug and set aside.
  2. Prepare the Coconut Pineapple Blend: Rinse the blender to remove any strawberry residue. Add the fresh pineapple chunks, ice cubes, remaining pineapple juice, and coconut milk to the blender. Blend all ingredients until smooth and creamy.
  3. Layer the Drink: Pour the strawberry mixture into tall glasses filling about 25% of each glass. Then, gently pour the creamy coconut pineapple blend on top to create a beautiful gradient effect. Use a spoon to swirl lightly if desired for visual appeal.
  4. Garnish and Serve: Garnish each glass with a wedge of pineapple and a fresh strawberry on the rim. Serve immediately for the best freshness and flavor.

Notes

  • For a colder drink, chill the fruit ahead of blending or use frozen fruit.
  • You can substitute coconut cream for coconut milk for a richer texture.
  • Adjust sweetness by adding a teaspoon of honey or agave syrup if desired.
  • This recipe can be easily doubled or tripled for parties.
  • Use fresh fruit for the best flavor; canned or frozen pineapple juice works as a substitute if fresh is unavailable.
