Lemonies Base
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

Instructions
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare an 8×8-inch baking pan by greasing it or lining it with parchment paper to prevent sticking.
- Cream Butter and Sugar: In a mixing bowl, cream the softened butter and granulated sugar together until the mixture is light and fluffy, which will create a tender texture in the final lemonies.
- Add Eggs and Flavorings: Beat in the eggs one at a time to fully incorporate. Then add the fresh lemon juice, lemon zest, and vanilla extract, mixing well to blend all flavors evenly.
- Mix Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour and salt to ensure even distribution before combining with the wet ingredients.
- Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients: Gradually add the dry flour mixture to the wet ingredients. Stir gently until just combined to avoid overmixing, which could make the lemonies tough.
- Pour Batter into Pan: Transfer the batter to the prepared baking pan and smooth the surface with a spatula for even baking.
