Description

This Fiery Chicken Ramen with Creamy Garlic Sauce is a flavorful and comforting dish that combines spicy, tender seared chicken thighs with rich garlic cream sauce, savory broth, and tender ramen noodles. Perfectly balanced with a hint of chili heat and garnished with fresh green onions, this recipe offers a delicious twist on traditional ramen, ready in just 40 minutes.

Ingredients

Scale

Chicken and Seasoning

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken thighs
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil

Broth and Sauce

  • 3 cups chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • ¼ cup heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon butter

Noodles and Garnish

  • 2 packs ramen noodles (fresh or dried)
  • 1 green onion, chopped (for garnish)
  • 1 teaspoon chili oil (optional, for extra heat)

Instructions

  1. Season the Chicken: Season the chicken thighs with chili powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Let them sit for 15 minutes to absorb the flavors.
  2. Sear the Chicken: Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the chicken thighs for 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and allow to rest before slicing.
  3. Make the Creamy Garlic Sauce: In a small saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute. Stir in heavy cream and cook until the sauce slightly thickens, around 2-3 minutes. Remove from heat.
  4. Cook the Ramen Noodles: Prepare ramen noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  5. Prepare the Broth: In another pot, heat sesame oil. Add minced garlic and sauté briefly. Pour in chicken broth and soy sauce. Bring to a simmer and cook for 5-7 minutes to develop flavors.
  6. Assemble the Dish: Divide cooked noodles into serving bowls. Pour the hot broth over the noodles. Top with sliced seared chicken thighs and drizzle the creamy garlic sauce over the top.
  7. Garnish and Serve: Garnish with chopped green onions. Optionally, drizzle chili oil for extra heat. Serve hot and enjoy.

Notes

  • For extra spice, add the optional chili oil generously or adjust chili powder amount when seasoning the chicken.
  • Fresh ramen noodles will yield the best texture, but dried noodles work well too.
  • Letting the chicken rest after searing ensures juicier slices.
  • You can substitute the heavy cream with coconut cream for a dairy-free variation (not vegan).
  • Adjust salt in the broth according to the saltiness of your soy sauce.
