Scale
Flatbread Base
- 1 piece flatbread or pizza crust (store-bought)
- 1 tbsp olive oil (for brushing)
- a pinch salt
- a pinch black pepper
Toppings
- 100 g Brie cheese (sliced)
- 75 g fresh blueberries (thawed if frozen)
- 1 tsp fresh thyme leaves
- 1 to 2 tbsp honey (adjust to taste)
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat the oven to 390°F (200°C) to ensure it is hot and ready for baking the flatbread evenly.
- Brush Flatbread: Lightly brush the flatbread or pizza crust evenly with olive oil to add flavor and help create a crisp base.
- Add Brie Cheese: Arrange the sliced Brie cheese evenly over the flatbread, covering the surface for a creamy texture.
- Top with Blueberries and Thyme: Scatter fresh blueberries and fresh thyme leaves on top of the Brie, then sprinkle a pinch of salt and black pepper for seasoning.
- Bake Flatbread: Place in the preheated oven and bake for 10-12 minutes until the Brie is melted and bubbly, and the flatbread edges turn golden brown.
- Drizzle Honey: Immediately after removing the flatbread from the oven, drizzle honey over the warm surface for a sweet contrast to the savory ingredients.
- Slice and Serve: Slice the flatbread into triangles and serve warm to enjoy the perfect blend of creamy, sweet, and herbal flavors.
Notes
- Use fresh thyme leaves for the best flavor, but dried can be substituted if needed.
- Adjust honey amount based on your preferred level of sweetness.
- If using frozen blueberries, thaw and drain excess moisture to prevent sogginess.
- Serve immediately for the best texture and taste as the flatbread is best enjoyed warm.
- Can be served as an appetizer, light lunch, or snack.
